Al Labous Currently for Sale
This is an Al Labous 36 string harp. We formally used Truitt sharping levers made by Dragon Whispers. But that company no longer exists. So for this harp we used Camac sharping levers. They are considered by many to be very excellent sharping levers. But because they use a varity of various parts on some sharping levers and not on others (depending on the notes the levers are designed for), I do find it best to remove some of the parts on some of the levers so the sounds of the strings are very similar between one and the other. That is one of the reasons why a few of the sharping levers are positioned lower or higher than sharping levers next to them. The other reasons is simply the variation in the length of the strings.
Below is another photo of this particular 36 string, five octave harp which, like all other Al Labous models, has a range from C2, the second C below middle C, up to C7, the 3rd C above middle C (or using the more classical notations for notes, from the 6th octave C to the 1st octave C). The top four octaves are strung in nylon monofilament while the 2nd octave up from the bass is strung in nylon with nylon wrap. The lowest bass octave is strung with steel core/fiber bedding/copper wrap strings.
The cost of this harp is $3250, not including the cost of shipping or a case.
